This past weekend (Sept 16-18) at the Regional Opener Debate Tournament at SUNY Binghamton, Bard novices dominated the field. With over 40 novice teams from colleges and universities throughout the Northeast, Bard placed two teams in the top eight! Sophomore Patrick Jordan and PIE student Timothy Lai were novice finalists and First Years Hanze Song and Marissa McOmber were semifinalists! Both Hanze and Marissa also won top-ten speaker awards. Hanze was named 3rd place novice speaker and Marissa was named 9th place novice speaker. Go Bard Debate!
