The Bard Debate Union is getting very excited for the start of a new debate season. We had our annual L&T information session and workshop last night (August 27th) and welcomed over 15 new students to the Bard Debate family. We were thrilled to see how eager they all were to jump into an impromptu debate on the topic of US military intervention. It was a pleasure to meet them all! Next Monday, however, is when things really get started as we will have our first official meeting of the year, welcome back all of our returning debaters, and welcome all of our new debaters. We have a very exciting year ahead with over 10 tournaments to look forward to, 6 public debates, numerous election events, and of course our second annual middle and high school debate tournament. Bard Debate is most certainly ready to go! And congrats to all of our hard working debaters who have been working throughout the summer to improve their debate skills and to get ahead on research!
