Every year after the Fall semester of debate comes to a conclusion, the policy debate community releases national rankings of teams at the Novice, JV, and Varsity levels. The exciting news is that Bard Policy Debate Novices, Anna Daniszewski and Max Taylor-Milner, have made onto the top-25 list (out of nearly 300 novice teams nationwide). They are, in fact, in 14th place in the nation! Of course, this is not a huge surprise, since Anna and Max have impressed us all by advancing to elimination rounds at EVERY tournament they have ever attended. But nonetheless this is a major accomplishment for Anna and Max and the Bard Debate Union as a whole given the prestige and quality of novice debate in the country this year.
